Its Time Crew, time for the Lifestyle and Leisure Development Team to tackle the 2017 Sydney to Gong for the 5th time and its only months away so here is the info you need for the day. If you have any questions about the event please dont hesitate to ask.
We will have our team code is up an ready, select Lifestyle and Leisure Development Team when registering just search for our team.
All riders will be broken into 4-6 packs on the day depending on speed and ability, we understand this is only a guideline and groups may get broken up. Please do your best as we have 2 support cars on the track carrying spares, nutrition, first aid, mechanical tools + two people to support you in any way possible :)
Thanks to our amazing volunteer’s!
We will also have our new amazing radio communication systems in place from D2N givimg us exclusive comun ication across the course. This will also be the debut event for our L&L Sinclair Izuzu and we are also hoping to be joined by a few of the GPM riders again so stay tuned.
We are asking everyone that is driving in can you please let us know as we have many people needing lifts and transport for their bikes but we only have so much room and your generosity is appreciated. Meeting at the store in the morning will make this very easy to deal with.
If you can help transport any goods to the finish line please let us know to help the work load. We are hoping to have the GPM van but it will be loaded with bikes and bbq’s.
On the day we will be supplying onsite at the finish 6x6 gazebo, BBQ, tables, chairs, eskies with meat, bread, salad and cold drinks for a small donation.
As a Lifestyle and Leisure tradition we ask everyone to bring a dish to share with your team and a few drinks. Something that your family loves and you want to share with everyone or as staple that everyone loves. The choice is yours and if we all add something to the day again we will all enjoy a great day together. If you’re stuck on what to bring just give us a call and hopefully we can suggest something.
Also holding to tradition we will be giving away prizes of 1 x $50 Lifestyle and Leisure Voucher for:
Best photo taken by event photographers
Best photo taken by a rider at any time during the day
Best video footage by a rider
Team player award, this will be on feedback to the one person. Rider or volunteer both are included in this
We ask that everyone drops off food, drinks and anything to be transported to the finish line to please drop them off in store on Saturday (4th Nov).
We will be meeting at the store and leaving the store no later than 4:30am on Sunday (5th Nov) and driving in convoy ensuring we are at the front of the pack to start, get organised and some photos. We have arranged for everyone to start together.
All cars and gear will return to the store after the event, you can collect your goods here on Sunday afternoon. We will endeavour to do our best to get as many people as we can back to their cars but please understand we only have so many seats.
One thing we must stress is please invite the family, all are welcome to enjoy the festivities. We always make a point of including families so please feel welcome to bring them along or get them to meet us at the finish and cheer you over the line !
Please check that you have confirmed on our events page so we know exactly who is coming along and can place you in the correct group.
If you have any questions or requests for the day please don’t hesitate to contact us as soon as you can.
We look forward to seeing you this weekend!
